Modigliani is careful to the creation of objects that can be used and lasted for generations, keeping their beauty and functionality intact.
With a minimum of care and attention you can get the most out of the items purchased. In the sections below you can find our recommendations.
CERAMICWARE
Our ceramic dinnerware are guaranteed for washing in domestic dishwashers. It is important to pay attention loading the dishwasher, making sure that the products do not touch each other or with other dishes and cannot move during the washing cycle.
Our ceramic dinnerware, unless otherwise specified, are suitable for heating food in a microwave oven. Do not use ceramics for cooking, unless they are expressly indicated as oven proof ceramics.
Our oven proof pieces are clearly marked as such on the bottom and are safe for cooking in both normal and microwave ovens. However, they are not suitable for direct contact with the flame. The specific instructions for use are always inside the box of the individual objects and must be respected with scrupulous attention.
For all ceramics it is important to avoid sudden and abrupt changes in temperature such as placing a cup full of hot water on a cold surface. This is only an example, not at all exhaustive.
Small imperfections that you will find in Modigliani ceramics are not to be considered defects but, on the contrary, they are the proof that they are entirely handmade objects and must be considered part of the quality and uniqueness of the products. Some collections are deliberately made with very thick and dense layers of crystalline, this allows exclusive chromatic effects. The objects in these collections may have a slight “craquelé” effect which is absolutely normal and in no way compromises the use of the objects, even those made for food purposes.
GLASSWARE
All our glasses are guaranteed for washing in domestic dishwashers. It is advisable to place the glass objects in the upper basket and to arrange them so that they do not touch each other or with other dishes and cannot move during the washing cycle.
To maintain the clarity of all glasses and crystals washed in the dishwasher for a long time, we recommend using liquid detergents and keeping the filter and the bottom of the dishwasher clean.
Our glasses should never be used in the microwave.

CUTLERY-FLATWARE
Our cutlery is guaranteed for washing in domestic dishwashers. It is important to place the cutlery in the basket always keeping the handles upwards, with the steel part downwards to facilitate better drying. If possible, open the dishwasher as soon as the wash cycle is finished to let out the steam and speed up the drying process.
Our designers have created cutlery with handles with variegated shades of color. The small chromatic variations between one handle and the other are therefore not to be considered defects but, on the contrary, are purposely desired and represent the characteristic that makes them unique.
